Best Mascara Reviews

January 18, 2011

in Uncategorized

This may seem a tad strange for 30 Minute Martha to tackle, but what quicker way to polish your look than a coat of mascara? Even when I don’t have time for whole spit-and-polish, I throw on a coat of the black goopy stuff and feel like I’m good to go.

Over the past four or five years, I’ve been committed to Maybelline Great Lash in brownish-black.

But I have had to wonder if I’ve been missing something. After all, in the past five years, we’ve seen the introduction of the iPhone, the iPad, and Jersey Shore — so who’s to say what kind of advancements have been made in the world of mascara??

I put out a tweet to my buds to see what everyone else is using to plump their lashes. You wouldn’t believe the variety of answers I got. I thought I’d throw them out here and see if you have anything to add. I’ll keep you updated over the upcoming weeks as I test these out and find a new (or an old!) favorite!

Crossing Things off the List

July 15, 2010

ShareOne of my 5-year-old’s dreams for this summer was to go to Storyland, a small amusement park aimed at young kids, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We had been warned that my 12- and 10-year-olds probably wouldn’t be too interested in the goings-on, because everything was fairytale-themed and fairly tame. So this […]

House Envy.

July 13, 2010

ShareWe spent the weekend at a good friend’s vacation house in Cape Cod. I use the term “vacation house” loosely, as their vacation home is nicer than our full-time home! It looked like something out of a Pottery Barn catalog — seashell motif in the family room, gorgeous kitchen with rustic chicken wire insets on the […]
