Well, we did it! Hundreds of people joined me last week for one of the best times of my life… the Multitasking Moms Telesummit! In case you weren’t able to attend each and every call, here’s a wrap-up:

Free-Range or Deranged? Lenore Skenazy! Lenore told us about the genesis of her book, “Free-Range Kids: Giving Our Children the Freedom We Had Without Going Nuts with Worry.” We talked about how to give our kids more freedom in steps we –and they! — can handle, and why it is that the MOM always gets blamed when there’s a question of parenting. Lenore also shared her latest project: Take Our Children to the Park — and Leave Them There Day.

Finding More Time in the Day: Debbye Cannon! Professional organizer and mom strategist Debbye Cannon shared why we should look for RHYTHM rather than balance, and gave us a ton of tips on how to save time in our busy, hectic schedules. She gave us a three-step plan including CLARIFYING, CONTAINING, and CONTINUING. She also told us why our to-do list shouldn’t have more than six items on it.

Living a Glittertastic Life: Kathy Cano-Murillo! Kathy told us about how she combines parenting, art, teaching, writing, and promoting her brand-new novel, “Waking Up in the Land of Glitter” and the glitter that binds them all together. She also shared her tips for tracking creative energy and ideas (hint: WRITE IT DOWN!).

Celebrating Life: Bringing Color to the Everyday: Stacy Julian! Stacy told us why it’s important to be intentionally imperfect and to take time to rest and re-energize, even when that means breaking off in the middle of a creative spurt. She shared ideas for taking advantage of our moments of inspiration in creating a fun, out-of-the-box memories for our kids. She suggested reading The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, Is the Key to High Performance and Personal Renewal, and taking the upcoming class from Big Picture Scrapbooking offered by Tami Morrison later this year.

Sanity-Saving Dinner Solutions: Jeanne Muchnick! Jeanne told us how she came to write Dinner for Busy Moms: Easy Strategies for Getting Your Family to the Table (Simple Solutions for Families) and gave us great ideas for making the most of our family dinner hours (tips: Don’t stress it. Relax. Make your kids part of the planning and execution).

Saving Dollars, Not Cents: Linsey Knerl! Wisebread blogger Linsey gave us concrete ideas on how we can save money that really makes a difference in our budget. She suggested starting with putting a value on our time so we can measure effort vs. return. She also gave us leads to some great coupon sites, including Deal-Seeking Mom, the Centsible Sawyer, and Money Saving Mom.

Loving Your Family, Loving Yourself: Jennifer Louden! When you’re stressed out, start by bringing yourself back to the here and now, suggests Jen. Once you accept where you are, you can start the slow movement towards where you want to be. We also talked about Conditions of Enoughness and Minimum Requirements.

Juggling Priorities When It’s All on the Critical List: Maruxa Murphy! Maruxa is another busy mom who’s refused to fall into the idea of balance as the working mom’s ideal. Instead, she looks for INTEGRATION. She shared some of her tips for pulling all life’s different pieces together into a cohesive whole.

Move It AND Lose It: Scott Tousignant! Got those last ten pounds to lose? Or twenty or more? Don’t worry, Scott had concrete tips for getting you moving (haha!) in the right direction. His no-fad, common-sense Fat Loss Quickie program will get you where you want to be in two, ten-minute workouts a day (and it doesn’t require giving up chocolate or starving yourself!).

Multitasking Is Not a Dirty Word: Lain Ehmann! I shared why women are hardwired to multitask, how we’re different from men, and the top ten biggest mistakes multitasking moms make. My biggest suggestion: Whatever kind of life you want, it starts right here, right now, in this moment. Bloom where you’re planted!
